| Objective To explore the change of serum bilirubin(total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin),serum total cholesterol , low density Iipoprotein cholesterol and free glucose level in patients with cerebral infarction in the different phase and patients with cerebral hemorrhageMethods serum bilirubin (total bilirubin ,direct bilirubin indirect bilirubin ),serum total cholesterol,serum low density Iipoprotein cholesterol,and free glucose was measured in 53patients with cerebral infarction in six days(the observed group) and 46 patients with cerebral infarction after fifteen days(the control group) and 42 patients with cerebral hemorrhage in six days.apply SPSS 10.0 for windows to deal with all datas, T-test was used to compare between the groups.Results serum bilirubin in patients in the observed group (total bilirubin 19.496 ±6.633 μ mol/L, direct bilirubin 4.695 ± 2.768 μ mol/L, indirect bilirubin 14.589 ± 5.223 μ mol/L) was higher than the patients in the control group (total bilirubin 13.261 ±3.992 μ mol/L, direct bilirubin 3.541 ± 1.331 μ mol/L, indirect bilirubin 9.680 ± 3.141 μ mol/L), and was higher than the patients with cerebral hemorrhage too ,P<0.01 (total bilirubin, indirect bilirubin),P<0.05(direct bilirubin) ; total cholesterol, free serum glucose in patients in the observed group was also higher than in the patients in the control group too,but P>0.05; low density Iipoprotein cholesterol was higher in the patients with cerebral infarction in six days than thosewith cerebral hemorrhage,too, P<0.01.Conclusions There were significant differences between serum bilirubin in patients in the observed group and serum bilirubin in patients in the control group. However there weren't significant differences between total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, free serum glucoseThere were significant differences between serum bilirubin and low density lipoprotein cholesterol in patients in the observed group and that in the patients with cerebral hemorrhage.
