Studies On The Chemical Component And Pharmacological Effect Of Corydalis Adunca Maxim.

Corydalis adunca Maxim., especially distribute in China, grown in the west of the Qing mountain in inner-Mongolia and drought mountainous regions or hungriness grassland of North-west China. The raw material are used in Chinese folk herbal medicine for treatment of bleeding, ache and edema. In this paper the isolation and analysis of chemical components and the bioactivity of total alkaloids were studied.To study the chemical constituents of Corydalis adunca Maxim., the ethanolic extract was treated with common acid-base method. The ethanol extract was dissolved with HCl, the acidic extract was basified to pH9-10 with NH₃-water and extracted with CHCl₃ to give total alkaloids. five alkaloids were isolated with column chromatography and preparative thin-layer chromatography (TLC), and three of them were identified as dehydrocorydaline, corynoline and dihydrosanguinarine on the basis of spectral analysis (MS, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR) and physicochemical properties. All of them were found for the first time from this plant.Bioactivities studies on the ethanol extracts from Corydalis adunca Maxim. had been carried out. The results suggest: the total alkaloids of Corydalis adunca Maxim. could cause decrease of blood pressure and cause relaxation of aortic muscle precontracted by NA. in rabbits; Experiments about anti-fatigue and hypoxia effect of total alkaloids showed: total alkaloids can obviously prolong swimming time in the mice, effect of total alkaloids on the survival time in mice exposed to hypoxia were also obvious differences with control groups, and were statistically significant (P< 0.05).
