ObjectiveThe paper studied relationships between different TCM syndromes and correlation factors in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA), and offered some evidences on standardizing TCM syndromes. MethodThrough nine centers' clinic trail, we collected 517 clinical cases, and diagnosed TCM syndromes on basis of syndrome diagnose standardization by two attending physicians or superior grade physicians in every center. At the same time, we collected patients' basic instances, such as age, course of disease, clinical symptoms and correlative laboratory indexes, such as IgA, IgG, IgM, ESR, RF, CRP, joint function grade, X-ray grade and filled in HAQ. Through statistics, We studied the relations between above indexes and the TCM syndromes. Result(1) Epidemiology characteristic showed, men : women=1∶4. 9, There was no significant differences with regard to sex distributing for four syndromes (P>0.05) ,but there was relativity between syndromes and age, course of disease, the syndrome of the deficiency of liver and kidney with Phlegm-blood stasis obstructing channel was highest (P<0.05) . (2) There were no significant differences with regard to Clinical symptoms, such as the index of joints ached, the index of joints swelled among four TCM syndromes (P>0. 05) .For the time of morning stiffness, the syndrome of heat-dampness blocking was longer than the syndrome of deficiency of liver and kidney with Phlegm-blood stasis obstructing channel (P<0. 05) . (3)The values of ESR, CRP, RF, IgG, IgA and IgM were higher than normal referenced values. The differences of four syndromes were not significant (P>0. 05) , But for CRP, IgA and IgG, the syndrome of heat-dampness blocking was higher than the syndrome of cold-dampness blocking, the difference was significant (P<0. 05) . In addition, for IgA , the syndromes of the deficiency of liver and kidney with Phlegm-blood stasis obstructing channel was higher than the syndrome of cold-dampness blocking, the difference was significant (P<0.05) . (4) For two-hand average grip, the differences of four syndromes were significant (P<0. 05) , the syndrome of heat-dampness blocking and the syndromes of the deficiency of liver and kidney with Phlegm-blood stasis obstructing channel were smaller than the syndrome of cold-dampness blocking, the syndrome of intermingled heat and cold was...
