Objective To study the lipid profile characteristics and the cognitive function characteristics of patients with mild cognitive impairement(MCI) of the elderly. Methods 14 subjects in normal group,42 subjects in MCI group and 14 subjects in moderate cognitive impairement group were examed with lipid profile(TG, CHO, HDL, LDL) , Platelet (PLT) , three coagulation functions (PT, APTT, FIB) and were evaluated with Mini-mental state examination (MMSE) for their cognitive function. Results The concentration of HDL was 14.5±0.52mmol/l for normal group, 1.20+0.31 mmol/l for MCI group and 1.14 + 0.25 mmol/l for moderate cognitive impairement group. There was significant difference in three groups in the concentration of HDL with analysis of variance(P<0.05 ).The score of MMSE was more lower, the concentration of HDL was more lower. There was positive correlation between them (r=0.297)and was significant difference (P<0.05) .The change of the delayed memory in MMSE in subjects with cognitive impairement was evident. The score was 2.64 + 0.50 for normal group, 1.69 + 0.81 for MCI group and 0.86+0.66 for moderate cognitive impairement group. There was significant difference in three groups with analysis of variance (P<0.01 ) . Conclusion The declining of the concentration of HDL of lipid profile is primary in subjects with MCI of the elderly. The degree of cognitive impairement is more worse, the concentration of HDL is more lower. In the cognitive function, the declining of the delayed memory is primary. So we can follow-up the subjects with impairment in the delayed memory and can hope to find and screen out the subjects with...
