Objective:Recently the incidence of Primary Insomnia increase. The psychological factor followed with negative living events is one of the pathogenies and become the hot issue. Researches indicate it possibly results in mental hyperirritability. Literature and clinic searches also show that more than half of the victims belong to stagnation of liver-qi(SLQ) . These victims potentially carry a certain characteristic or personal trait as the risk factor for insomnia, which is still unknown. Our study lay out primary insomnias (concluded SLQ and NSLQ victims) and well-beings as the central objects and quest for the difference of trait of mood, personality and TCM habitus between both. And we preliminarily study the trait of mood, personality and habitus of SLQ in insomnia for the It redounds to clinical psychotherapy, treatment and precaution based on objective and normative syndrome differentiation for SLQ in primary insomnias.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted in 59 persons aged from 18 to 65 years in out-patient department for insomnia of Guangdong province Hospital of TCM compared with 30 normal persons. We establish a questionary including a TCM habitus part and psychologic scale based on the review of the correlative reports of insomnia and theories of TCM. According to the locale research methods in epidemiology, we collect the general demology information, style of TCM habitus, STAI, BDI and type A behavior scale scores, building data-base with SPSS 11.0.
