Objective: To study the relationship between syndrome differentiation of TCM and transcranial Doppler(TCD) , carotid ultrasound and the plasma level of cluster of differentiation 62P(CD62p) in atherothrombotic brain infarction (ABI),which supplies objective index for microcosmic syndrome differentia- tion of TCM in ABI.Methods: 68 cases with ABI were selected and classified into Qi dificiency and Blood stasis syndrome(QDBSS), Yin dificiency forming wind syndrome (YDFWS) , hyperactivity of wind-phlegm and fire syndrome(HWPFS), combined the wind-phlegm and blood stasis syndrome(CWPBSS) according to syndrome differentiation classified in TCM, and 15 cases of healthy people were selected as the normal control group(NCG). The 4 different types of TCM of ABI were compared with each other by TCD, carotid ultrasound and CD62p, and then were compared with the normal control group, observing the change of index to study the relationship.Results: (1)Comparison of the five groups' blood stream parameters of TCD: (1)The blood flow velocity of five groups was as follows: YDFWS > HWPFS >NCG > CWPBSS > QDBSS, Both QDBSS and CWPBSS blood flow velocity was lower than the other two types,the difference was significant(P<0.01); the difference between YDFWS and HWPFS was significant(P<0.05); there was significant difference between 4 types of ABI and normal control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).
