Background Asthma was referred to cells and cellularelements participate in airway chronical inflammatory disease. This chronical inflammation induce increase of airway hyperresponsiveness. Commonly, it represented the reversible limition of airflow, which was extensive and changeful, aroused the symptoms of paroxysmal pant, short of breath cough. The symptom of asthma often outbreaks and was aggravated at night or in the early morning, which of most patients can be relieved with or without the treatment. Though the treatment of asthma was incessant advancement, living environment of human being was improving, incidence of asthma and other atopic diseases are not decreased, on the contrary the incidence of disease have increased trend in range of the seven seas, so therapy aim at asthma get recognition. With immunological research about asthma obtain biggish advancement, which accelerate research of Immunotherapy, immune intensifier such as thymosin and immunosuppressant such as Cortisol are common used drugs of non-specificity Immunotherapy, which get good therapeutic effect. BCG can regulate immune function of body. Epidemiology research of Shirakawa et al indicates that there was negative correlation between intensity of delayed type hypeisensitivity of tuberculin and diathesis,positive reaction of PPD was significantly lower than negative reaction of it in incidence of asthma and serum total IgE, but the level of IFN-γwas reverse. Herz et al find out that inoculability of BCG can decrease soakage of eosinophil and airway responsiveness, can make IL-4,IL-5 in bronchus alveolus lavage fluid decreased and induce IFN-γincreased in animal experiment. Which prove that inoculability of BCG can induce Th1 cellular immunity of animal, restrain Th2 cellular immunity, lighten occurrence of asthma and relieve symptoms. Thus, the application of BCG on asthma treatment has been explored. Objective Discuss the influence of BCG-PSN on cytokines of T helper cells, IgE and EOS of asthmatic patients. Methods 40 bronchial asthmatic patients who were treated in our department,and get rid of other cardiopulmonary diseases, immune system diseases, hematological system disease, and not used cortisone, they were chosen as object in this study, and they were randomized into 2 groups. The treatment group and control group had 20 patients respectively. The control group used drugs include antibiotic, aminophylline, and the drugs aim at symptom. Thetreatment group used drugs include the drugs of the control group, and BCG-PSN, 1mg/time, intramuscle, once every two days for 6 weeks. Before and after treatment obtain peripheral blood, measure the level of IL-2,ESO,IgE in plasma,observed two groups therapeutic effect. Results: 1.The level of IL-2 was low before treatment, in the control group there was no significantly statistical difference between the level before and after treatment(P>0.05); but in the treatment group there was significantly statistic difference(P<0.05); the level in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0. 05). 2. In the control group there was no obvious statistic difference between the positive case before and after treatment(P>0.05), in the treatment group there was obvious statistic difference (P<0.05); the case who became negative in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control (P < 0. 05). 3.
