A Prospective Study Of TGP In The Treatment Of Ankylosing Spondylitis

Objective To observe the efficacy, evaluate safety and tolerance and to investigate the effective therapy precept of total glucosides of paeony (TGP)in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods Randomized, open and parallel-controlled clinical study of TGP was performed . All patients with AS were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group(TG) with 40 subjects(normal treatment plus TGP ,the does of TGP :0.6g of each time ,third daily ,twenty-four-weeks);Control group(CG) with 40 subjects (normal treatment plus SASP,0.25-0.75g of each time,third daily , twenty-four-weeks). To observe the clinical indexes, laboratory indexes and the curative effect and evaluate safeness and tolerance of TGP in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Results 1.The improving rate the clinical indexes in CG during treatment 6-12wk is better than in TG.
