Objective: To establish a chronic animal model on bile secretion of rat. Method: In healthy Wistar rats were transected the common bile duct , inserted with the long-terminal of a T-type silica tube of φ=0. 8mm into the proximal part of the duct, the other long-terminal of the T-tube insert into the jejunum. A hypodermal tunnel was established, leading out the main portion of the T-tube. Thus a repeatability rat obstructive jaundice in vivo external drainage model were established . Determination the biochemical indicator and BM changes of the first post- operative week of the control group, sham operation group and model group. Result: A rat bile duct in vivo external drainage model was successfully established. Conclusion: A simple and reproducible animal model for the study of obstructive jaundice can be provided.
