Expression And Clinical Significance Of Survivin In Gastric Cancer

Apoptosis is a physiological process of cell death,tumor cells escape the autonomy death controlled by gene to safeguard the homeostasis through all kinds of ways. So,to induce cells to apoptosis is the hot point and new way in the means of therapy of tumor. Survivin is a new member of families of IAPs of apoptosis inhibitive factor which have special structure and expression,and have special value in gene diagnosis,therapy and the reseach of drug fast. Immunohistonchemical method by Elivision was used to detect survivin expression in 102 patients with gastric carcinoma.The relationship between surviving expression and the clinicopathologic parameters,prognosis was retrospectively analyzed.Result:yellow-buffy granulas represent positive,if the positive cells not so many as 20% represent negative,exceed 20% represent positive. Survivin expression was positive in 54 of 102 cases(52.9%).The positive rate expression in cases of lymphoid metastasis was highter than that without lymphoid metastasis is (66.7% vs 37%, p<0.05). TNM stage (â…¢-â…£vsâ… -â…¡: 62.5%vs54.3%,p>0.05),and histological grate (poor vs high : 65.5% vs 47.9%, p>0.05). Survival time (<2 years vs>5 years: 68.6% vs 37.3%, p<0.01). Upregutated expression of anti-apoptosis factor surviving can be found in gastric carcinoma. Survivin expression is significantly correlated with lymphoid metastasis. Survivinis an independent predictor for the patients with gastric carcinoma after radical resection, positive represent unfavourable prognosis.
