Experimental Study Of The Correlation Between Hypoxia Inducible Factor-1a And Microvessel Density

Objective To investigate the expression of hypoxia induce factor-1α(HIF-1α) and microvessel density( MVD), and further to evaluate the relationship of them. Method Twenty-three Kunming mice bearing S180 sarcoma were set up. Tumor biopsies were resected and inspected the expression of HIF-1αand MVD by immunohistochemistry. Result The expression of HIF-1αranged from7% to 70% (median: 20%) and the expression of MVD ranged from3-40(median: 10) . The statistics show that the expression of HIF-1αand MVD had positive liner relationship (t=7.048,P=0.000). Conclusion There exist the expression of HIF-1αand MVD in S180 sarcoma. There exists the positive liner relationship between the expression of HIF-1αand MVD.
