Expression Of α-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin And P120ctn In Transitional Cell Carcinoma Of Bladder And Significances

Objective To probe into the relation and clinical significance between the expression ofα-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin,p120ctn and the biological behavier of bladder transitional cellcarcinoma.Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of α-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin andp120ctn in 62 cases of bladder transitional cell carcinoma.Results 1.Expression of α-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin and p120ctn in all normal mucosaof bladder was normal. The abnormal expression rate of α-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin andp120ctn in transitional cell carcinoma of urinary bladder were 46.8%,56.5%,41.9%,64.5%respectively. 2. The abnormal expression rate of α-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin and p120ctnclosely correlated with both increased pathological grade(P<0.01) and clinical stage(P<0.05). 3.The abnormal expression rate of α-catenin,p120ctn closely correlated with therecurrence of superficial bladder transitional cell carcinoma(P<0.01). The abnormalexpression rate of β-catenin closely correlated with the recurrence of all bladder transitionalcell carcinoma(P<0.05).Conclusions 1,There occurs significantly abnormal expression of α-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin and p120ctn in transitional cell carcinoma of bladder; 2,Poor differentiation,increased invasiveness are associated with The abnormal expression of α-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin,p120ctn in bladder transitional cell carcinoma; α-catenin,β-catenin,γ-catenin,p120ctn may be useful makers of malignancy of urinary bladder transitional cell carcinoma.3,The abnormal expression of α-catenin,β-catenin and p120ctn is related to recurrence-freesurvival and they may be useful makers of recurrence of bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
