ObjectiveHypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1), a key transcription factor that mediates cancer cells adapting to hypoxic micro environment .It' s activity acts an important role in maintaining cancer cells energy metabolizability, cells multiplication and angiogenesis. VEGF is the most potent inducer of angiogenesis. HIF-la is an upstream transcription factor of VEGF gene. Micro vessel density (MVD) is assessed as an important parameter to predict tumor metastasis , prognosis. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of HIF-la, VEGF and MVD in gastric carcinoma and study their correlation with clinical pathological features such as cancer invasion and metastasis, as well as the interaction between them.MethodsForty-eight samples of gastric carcinoma tissues were examined for HIF-1α, VEGF and micro vessel density expression by immunohisto chemical method . Simultaneity, gather integrated clinic and pathologic data of all gastric carcinoma sufferer and analyses the expression of HIF-1α, VEGF and MVD in gastric carcinoma and study their correlation with clinical pathological features such as cancer invasion and metastasis, as well as the interaction between them.ResultsThe positive expression rate of HIF-1α was 66.7% in gastric carcinoma. The positive expression rate of VEGF was 60.4% in gastric carcinoma. The expression of HIF-1α and...
