| Objective:1. To investigate the change of serum leptin levels(SLLs) in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) by different blood purify methods. 2. To study the influlence of the leptin level on the renal function, blood lipid levels and the nutrition in the patients with CRF.Methods: Sixty patients with maintenance hemodialysis(MHD) of our hospital's blood purify center were divided into 3 groups: HD group,HF group, and HP group.Fresenius4008B and Fresenius4008S devices and bicarbonate dialysate were used in the study.Twenty chronic renal failure (CRF) patients without purify and twenty people without CRF coming from our outpatients were accepted as control groups. All MHD patients were began blood purify at 8am, and taken blood samples befor and after the blood purify. Fasting blood samples were taken at 8am in the non-purify and normal groups. The radioimmunoassay(RIA) method was used to detect serum leptin levels(SLLs) in above groups before and after different blood purify treatments. And body mass index(BMI),serum creatinine, serum urea nitrogen, albumin, total protein, triglyceride, cholesterol, hige density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein were dected.ResuIts:SLLs in both MHD group and the CRF group without purify were obviously higher than the normal control group.HD treatment had no significantlyeffect to the SLL in MHD patientsOP>0.05). However, HF and HP treatments could significantly decrease the SLL in CRF patients^O.Ol), with the HP being the most(.P<0.01).There was a significantly positive relation between the SLL and the BMI, and no significantly relation between the SLL and other above serum targetsConclusions :SLLs in CRF patient were significantly higher than the normal people, and there was a significantly positive relation between the SLL and the BMI.HD could not clear away serum leptin effectively, while HF and HP can eliminate SLL more effectively, and ameliorate the patients' nutritional status, with the HP being themostCPO.Ol). |
