An Analysis Of Clinical Effectiveness Of Chinese Medicines Combined With Laser Photocoagulation On Diabetic Retinopathy

Object:To observe clinical effectiveness of Chinese medicines(LiuWeiDiHuang Tang and ShenLingBaiZhu San) combined with laser photocoagulation on diabetic retinopathy. Methods:Forty patients (74 eyes) were divided randomly into two groups.Thirty-nine eyes were treated with Chinese medicines(LiuWeiDiHuang Tang and ShenLingBaiZhu San) combined with laser photocoagulation in the treated group. Thirty-five eyes were treated with laser photocoagulation only in the contrasted group.The clinical therapeutic effectiveness was observed in two groups.Results: One month later,hemorrhage and exudation were improved ,the therapeutic effective rates was 79.5% in the treated group,and it is 62.9% in the contrasted group (P<0.05); Two monthes later,macular edema and microaneurysm were also improved, the therapeutic effective rates was 90.6% in the treated group,and it is 68.9% in the contrasted group (p<0.05); The treated group was both better than the contrasted group.But there was no significant difference between two groups for visial activity after two monthes. (P>0.05) 。 Conclusion:The treated group was better than the contrasted group on hemorrhage and exudation after one month.It was also better than the contrasted group on macular edema and microaneurysm after two monthes.It is indicated that traditional Chinese medicine is advantageous during the perioperative period of laser photocoagulation.
