Obsevation Of Curative Effect Of Laryngomicrosurgery With CO2 Laser In Therapy Of Laryngeal Papillomatosis

Objective: In order to evaluate the curative effect of laryngomicrosurgery with CO2 laser, we follow up the cases with laryngeal papillomatosis, therapied by the classical surgery or laser surgery, comparing the recurrent time of laryngeal papillomatosis.Methods: We choose retrospectively the cases treated in our hospital from 2000 to 2003 ,who had been finally diagnosed as laryngeal papillomatosis by pathology. They were divided into tow different groups according to the methods of therapy as classical surgery group or laser surgery group, we recording the recurrent time of them respectively after the surgery and comparing them between two groups to find out the difference of two kinds of therapy in curative effect.Results: The results showed that there were no statistical difference of sex and age between two groups, and no cross were found in the 95% confidence interval of medion of recurrent time .The survival curves of the two groups obtained by Survival/Kaplan-Meier were not across, x~2 =9.2600 P=0.0023, there is ststistically significantly difference between two groups .The laser group is a more useful treatment forextending the recurrent time of laryngeal papillomatosis. Conclusion: The results suggest that laryngomicrosurgery with CO2 laser surgery has been verificated to be useful in therapy of laryngeal papillomatosis by extending the time of relapse ,compared with classical surgery.
