Association Analysis Between The CSNP Of GDI1 And Children's Intelligence And Mental Retardation In QinBa Mountain

In this paper we study the cSNP of GDI1 (GDP dissociation inhibitor 1) gene to find the relationship between the GDI1 gene and children's intelligence and mental retardation.We select two cSNP as genetic markers of GDI1. One is rsll549300 SNP in eighth extron of GDI1 gene, the other is rs2276462 SNP in seventh extron of GDI1 gene. We could get the relationship between GDI1 and children's intelligence through the association analysis between SNP polymorphism and intelligence quotient (IQ). We also could get the relationship between GDI1 gene and MR in the same way.We find the frequency of allele and genotype is consistent with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.We also find there is significant association between rs11549300 SNP and children's intelligence but no association between rsll549300 SNP and mental retardation in this region.In the couse of the studing polymorphism of rs2276462 SNP in the same region,we do not find any other genotypes and alleles except natural type (GG or G). So we give up this cSNP.In this study, we can get the conclusion that the polymorphism of rsll549300 SNP of GD11 gene is the cause of influencing children's intelligence but is not the couse of MR in this region.
