Objective: To study the mechanism of action and the precaution effects of TFGs on fatty liver of rats induced by alcohol with high fat diet. Methods: The rats were intragastric infused of TFGs or Simvastatin once a day for one week, and then the rats of fatty liver model were produced by intragastric infusing fat galacta which include alcohol and high fat, and meanwhile TFGs or Simvastatin were intragastric infused continuing. After 17 days , hepatic index was evaluated, the levels of blood-fat, liver-fat, MDA, FFA, HYP and the activity of SOD, NO, Na-K ATP enzyme, Ca-Mg ATP enzyme in liver were measured, and hepatocyte cytochrome p450 II El expression and pathology of liver were detected. Results: TFGs could decrease the level of TG, TC, LDL in plasm and hepatic index, the level of TG, TC, MDA, FFA, HYP and the activity of GST in liver, while increase the activity of SOD, NO, Na-K ATP enzyme, Ca-Mg ATP enzyme in liver, and also reduce distribution of lipid droplet on degree and scope in liver cell, and inhibit hepatocyte cytochrome p450IIE1 expression. Conclusion: TFGs could prevent the fatty liver of rats induced by alcohol with high fat diet through improving fat metabolism disorder, raising capability to pellate oxygen free radical of body, increasing energy supply of liver, and inhibiting hepatocyte cytochrome p450 II El expression.
