PrefaceObstructive Jaundice (Obstructive Jaundice ,OJ) is the common disease in the hepticbile surgery. A lot of complications can happen around the surgery, like sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, wound healing delay , and acute renal failure, and so on. Renal is the most sensitive target organ, in clinical all OJ patients have renal functional damage. The renal failure caused by the operation is the most common death reason of OJ patients. The mechanism of this kind of failure was not clear yet. Aquaporin is a kind of member protein that can make the water pass the plasma member existing in the variaty of human organs. In the physical condition ,the water pass the member through the simple diffusion and rapid transport . Aquaporin mediat the water by passive biological member transport, maintaining the exterior and interior environment balance. Renal AQP1 made the important effect in the regulation of the renal water. AQP1 can regulate the reabsorption of the water . Study showed that AQP1 excisted in the proximal convoluted tubule and medullary loop of human and rats. Currently little study refer to the aquaporin in the obstructive Jaundice. This study offer the novel viewpoint in renal functional change afer the OJ operation.Method and Materials1. Animal group:40 rats in 4 groups randomly, 10 for each. Obstruc-tive released group(obstructive for 7days );obstructive released 24h;obstructive released72h;obstructive released 7days. Models are all usual quarantina for one week. All the rat perform common bileduct ligation and release ligation after 7days . We draw the materials in the different time.2. Blood from the vena cava 5 — 8ml. The automobile biochemical ana-lysater detect the TP, ALB, ALT ALP,TBIL DBIL, UDBIL, CREA, U-REA.3. The AQPl protein and its mRNA level is detected by westrn blotting and RT—PCRResults1. Biochemical indexes: TBIL and DBIL both declined along with the obstructive duration prolonging. Ureanitrogen of 24 — hour after release of obstruction increased compared with the basement level (p<0. 05), that of 72 — hour returned to the basement level (pX). 05), and after 7days ureanitrogen decreased progressively (p
