There are many original planting Chinese crude drugs in Zhejiang province, Dwarf Lilyturf(Radix Ophiopogonis),Thunberg Fritillary Bulb(Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii ),Chrysanthemun Flower (Flos Chrysanthemi),Turmeric Root-tuber (Rhizoma Curcumae),Largehead Atractylodes Rhizome(Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephatae), Figwort Root {Radix Scrophulariae),White Peony Root (Radix Paeoniae Alba),Yanhusuo (Rhizoma Corydalis) are eight kinds of geo-authentic crude drugs which were well known in our country and mainly planting in Zhejiang province. With the development of Chinese crud drugs processing technology, they are playing more and more important role in protecting people's health and curing people's diseases.It is a serious problem that there are pesticide residues and heavy metals pollution of Chinese medicinal herbs in the planting area. It not only affects the quality of Chinese crude drugs, but also exports. Therefore, it is really significant to develop a simple, fast, available and efficient qualitative and quantitative method for measuring pesticide residues and heavy metals pollution in the eight kinds of geo-authentic crude drugs. The research selects thirty-three kinds of pesticides and eight kinds of harmful heavy metals as detecting objects, which are ten kinds of organochlorine insecticides, eleven kinds of organophosphorus insecticides, five kinds of pyrethroid insecticides, six kinds of carbamate pesticides, imidiachloprid and As, Cu, Hg, Pb, Cd, Ni, Zn, Mn, to develop the multiresidue analytical method of pesticides and harmful heavy metals. After two years investigation, the results showed that organochlorine insecticide residues and BHC residues were all below the maximum residue limit (MRL, 0.2 mg/kg) in all samples. DDT residues of 30% Dwarf Lilyturf (Radix Ophiopogonis) samples and PCNB residues of 40% Largehead Atractylodes Rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephatae) samples are exceeded the MRL (0.2 mg/kg, 0.1 mg/kg), respectively. The organochlorine pesticide residues in Chinese crude drugs are relative to the pesticide residues in soil. Carbamate and pyrethroid pesticide residues in all samples are below minimum detectableconcentration except Figwort Root and Thunberg Fritillary Bulb. Figwort Root and Thunberg Fritillary Bulb samples can be detected metolcarb and isoprocarb residues, respectively.Organophosphorus pesticide residues in most of samples were below the minimum detectable limit. Some Dwarf Lilyturf and Chrysanthemun Flower samples, however, can find methamidophos residues. Some Thunberg Fritillary Bulb and Largehead Atractylodes Rhizome samples can find parathion, dimethoate and acephate residues. Some Largehead Atractylodes Rhizome and Figwort Root samples can find chlorpyrifos residues. Although their residues are very low, it is necessary to pay more attention because of their high toxicity to human.The investigating data of pesticides and heavy metals pollution in the eight kinds of geo-authentic crude drugs and soils is very significant for risk assessment of the eight kinds of Chinese crud drugs planted in Zhejiang province specially, improvement of cultivated method and controlling of the pesticide residues and heavy metals pollution.
