Objective To study the significance of expression of KAI1 and P53 protein insquamous cell carcinoma of the cervix(SCC) and intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) and their correlation,To explore the relationship with the pathagenesis and development of cervical carcinoma and early diagnosisMethods The KAI1 and P53 protein were detected using immunohistochemicalstaining in 34 specimens of CIN,40 specimens of SCC,6 specimens of cervical ademocarcinoma and 10 specimens of normal cervical tissue.Results The positive rate of KAI1 in SCC was significantly lower than CIN andnormal cervical tissue(P<0.0005).The KAI1 expression in CIN â…  was not obviously lower than normal cervical tissue(P>0.05),but have significant difference compared with SCC(P<0 005).From the CIN â…¡ had sharply decreased of KAIl and have significant difference compared with normal cervical tissue(P<0.05),but not significant difference compared with SCC(P>0.05). The difference between CIN â…¡. arid CIN â…¢ was not significant(P>0 05). The expression of KAI1 have not statistical correlation with clinical stages(P>0.05),lymph nodemetastasis(P>0 01), age(P>0.01),pathological in SCC. The positive rate of P53 in SCC was significantly higher than CIN and normal cervical tissue(P<0.0005).The P53 expression in CIN â…  was not obviously higher than normal cervical tissue(P>0.01),but have significant difference compared with SCC(P<0.0005).From the CIN II had sharply increased of itand have significant difference compared with normal cervical tissue(P0.01). The difference between CIN II. arid CIN III was not significant(P>0.01). The expression of P53 have not statistical correlation with clinical stages(P>0.05),lymph nodemetastasis(P>0.01)and age(P>0.01)in SCC,but have statistical correlation with pathological grade(P<0.05).The difference of KAIl and P53 were no significant between SCC and cervical adenocarcinoma.The relationship between KAIl and P53 expression in CIN and SCC were not significance (r=-0.097, P>0.05) .Conclusion The unnatural expression KAIl and P53 were early event in indevelopment of cervical cancer,their may be two good factorys in early diagnosis in cervical cancer,the overexpression of P53 is associated with the pathological grade and evaluating prognosis of cervical carcinoma.
