Clinical Application Of Transrectal Ultrasound Guided Prostate 6-core Biopsy In Diagnosing Prostate Diseases

Objective: In order to assess the value of transrectal ultrasoundguided prostate 6-core biopsy in Diagnosing Prostate Diseases。 Methods: There are 42 patients who had prostate specificantigen (PSA) more than 4ng/ml or who had suspected prostatenodules on ultrasound or by digital rectal examination (DRE) in thehospital. Including by digital rectal examination 13 cases;prostatespecific antigen (PSA) more than 4ng/ml 24 cases;who hadsuspected prostate nodules on ultrasound 31 cases. Systemic biopsyis used on the patients. Results: Systemic biopsy of all patients were succeed. Benignprostatic hyperplasia were detected in 22 cases;prostate carcinoma11cases;benign prostatic hyperplasia with prostatitis 9 cases. Thepatients who were detected benign prostatic hyperplasia wereoperated, and there was one who was detected prostate carcinoma.The sensitivity and specificity of DRE,PSA,TRUS were 41.6%,54.5%;32.3%, 100%;29.0%, 81.8%. No patient had severecomplication after biosy. Conclusions: Biopsies of the prostate guided by transrectalultrasound is a effective methods to diagnos the proste cancerearlier。The patiens are accepted because of no pains.
