Objective: To investigate the relationship between the alleles of HLA-A*31,HLA-A*02,HLA-A*11, HLA-DRB1*07,HLA-DRB1*12,HLA-DR B1*1303 and the state of illness, viral replication in the patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB), chronic severe hepatitis B and liver cirrhosis subjects in Guangxi province, China. So we can acquire the knowledge of the genetic background of patients with above three kinds of prognosis. Methods: All the patients were Chinese from Guangxi province including 60 chronic hepatitis B, 21 chronic severe hepatitis B, 30 liver cirrhosis and 20 healthy people controls . The diagnosis of all the cases was made according to the criteria established on the Viral Hepatitis Conference held in 2000. The marks in sera of HBV infection were detected by ELISA method. The quantity of HBV-DNA level was investigated by Roche LightCycler fluorescent polymerase chain reaction detector. Liver functions, including serum aminotrans -ferase, ALB and GLB, bleeding time etc, was tested by automatic biochemical analyzer. HLA-A, DRB1 alleles were detected by the polymerase chain reaction- sequence specific primer (PCR-SSP) technique.Results:â‘ ,HLA-DRB1*07 allele is significantly higher in the group of chronic hepatitis B than those in the normal control subjects (61.7% : 35.0%,P=0.038), the frequency of the other alleles in group of chronic hepatitis B vs those in the normal control subjects respectively is: HLA-DRB1*12 (38.3% vs 20.0% ),HLA-DRB1*1303 (56.8% vs 55.0%),HLA-A*02( 25.0% vs 45.0%),HLA-A*11(25.0% vs 35.0%),HLA-A*31( 13.0% vs 25.0%). The frequencies of the above alleles in the two groups have no significant difference (P>0.05).â‘¡,The frequencies of the six alleles in the groups of chronic sever hepatitis B vs...
