Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is one of the common infectious disease and can result in serious consequences. Different paitents with HBV show diffent clinical outcomes, including from asymptomatic HBV carriers or cryptic hepatitis, to acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis (LC) and primary hepatocellular carcinoma. LC is a common lethal manifestation for patients with HBV with high mortality. This may result in the strong immune response of host to virus, which can lead to serious hepatocytes necrosis and apoptosis, large quantity of fibrous and conective tissue hyperplasia and then ultimate liver cirrhosis. It is generally believed that the varible clinical outcomes of the HBV infection were maily determined by virological itself factors, host immunological factors and genetic factors.HLA complex is critical genetic factor that determines individul variation of immune response. The genes for HLA class â…  (HLA-A,-B,and-C) and class â…¡ (HLA-DRB1,-DQA1-DQB1-DPA1-DPB1) are located on the short arm chromosome 6. As the primary modulator of host immune response, the HLA molecules present foreigning antigen to both the CD4+ T lymphocytes...
