Human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) shows a high preferendum to T lymphocyte. HHV-6 has been reported as a possible cause or cofactor of several human malignancies.Neoplastic transformation of nontumorigenic human epidermal keratinocytes and NIH3T3 cell murine fibroblasts was demonstrated with HHV-6 DNA. And HHV-6's ORF-1 overlap the specific DNA-binding domains of p53 proteins, which may hold back the ability of p53 to regulate cellular genes for growth control and make a great deal of cells and proteins transformation. In several human malignancies and their precancerous lesions, such as lymphoma, leukemia, oral carcinoma, and cervical carcinoma, human herpesvirus-6 DNA and high antibody titers have been detected. These data is consistent with the possibility that HHV-6 DNA sequences may have some role in the development of some human malignancies. In our country, squamous cell carcinoma has the highest incidence of all the oral and maxilliary malignancies. So it is essential to investigate squamous cell carcinoma's pathogenesis as well as its correlated factors, and correspondingly to take measures for prevention, diagnosis and treation. Definite correlation between infection of HHV-6 and squamous cell carcinoma haven't been reported to our best knowledge. The Objectives of our work is to investigate the correlation between...
