Objective: (1) To evaluate blood flow parameters in the posterior ciliary arteries(PCA) and the central retinal arteries(CRA) in eyes with primary open-angle glaucoma(POAG), to provide the clues of early diagnosis and treatment to POAG . (2) To assess the possibility to examine the digital artery(DA) with color Doppler ultrasound, and to get the parameters about digital artery. (3) To study the correlation of hemodynamics between the ocular artery and digital artery in the patients with primary open angle glaucoma .Methods: (1) Sequia512, linear transducers(probe)L15, frequency 13MHz. 82 eyes of 41 primary open-angle glaucoma patients, 34 eyes of 28 close-angle glaucoma patients and 176 eyes of 88 normal subjects were enrolled and underwent color Doppler imaging evaluation of the central retinal arteries and posterior ciliary arteries. Those who have hypertension, diabetes, and other diseases were excluded. The peak systolic and end-diastolic blood flow velocities were measured, resistive index (RI) and pulsate index (PI) were calculated. (2) to show simultaneously the digital artery according to vessels anatomy with Color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI). Put the sample on the vessels and get the blood flow parameters. Results: (1) The blood flow velocities were lower and RI and PI were higher in PCA and CRA in POAG than in close-angle glaucoma patients and normal subjects.
