| Objective: To investigate genetical factor have function for peptic ulcer (PU) occurrence in Han and Korean population of Yanbian area in China. Method: Through genetic epidemiology Case-control study, using Li-Mantel-Gsrt and Faleoner, to analyze heritability and mode of inheritance of PU . 210 proband ancestries of PU was patients who was in the hospital of Hunchun city during February 2005- Mar. 2006 and diagnosed by gastroscope at outpatient, and 637 control ancestries was random sampled health crowd ,and had suited constituent ratio of age(±3y),area, sex and nationality. All patients and control ancestries were measured ABO blood type. Result: 1. incidence of PU of the first degree relative, secondary relative and thrid relative of proband ancestries were 2.77%, 1.35% and 0.40%, and incidence of PU of control ancestries was 0.30%, so incidence of PU of the first degree relative was 9.23 times of incidence of PU of control ancestries (regard incidence of commonly group).so we considered that it had significant discrepancy(x~2=40.25, p<0.005).2. The incidence of PU reduce along with reducing degree relative, the first degree relative of proband ancestries> secondary relative of proband ancestries> thrid relative of proband ancestries> relative of control ancestries. 3. mode of inheritance PU(0.0923) was lower than that of dominant genetic disease(0.25). 4. Heritability of PU was 58% in Hunchun city, thereinto, Korean population's was higher than 74%, and heritability of PU in Han was 52%, but there was no significant discrepancy(p>0.05). 5. O blood type occupy 58.01% in patients of PU, A, B and AB blood type occupy 18.10% , 19.52% and 4.29%, O blood type was higher than others (p<0.05).Conclusion: 1. PU was polygenic inheritance disease; 2.
