Background and ObjectiveLaser - induced tissue fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy and image have been widely attended for mciny years and gradually become a promising new technique for diagnosing pathologic tissue. The principle of LIF is that the fluorophores in human tissue absorb specific wavelength excitation light and reemit fluorescence at a longer wavelength. Tissue auto-fluorescence induced by a specific wavelength laser offers the potential for the detection and localization of precancerous tumor. With this technique, low - power laser light is directed toward a tissue surface, inducing fluorescence emission at wavelengths characteristic of the chemical composition of the tissue. By this way, normal and cancer tissues are differentiated. Auto-fluorescence of tissues are based on biomolecules containing intrinsic or endogenous fluorophores , such as tyrosine, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH), porphyrins and collagen, etal. Molecules of mucosa and sub mucosa, due to the special properties of tumors in metabolism and the process of generation, some substances contained in tissues variate, making the auto-fluorescence spectroscopy of tissues alter either. The difference comes from the profile and intensity of spectroscopy. So using these differences can...
