Objective: In order to assess reliability and verficate the effect of compound glycine-calcium, we used retinoic acid and hydrocortisone to make model to research the prevention and therapy of compound glycine-calcium on osteoporosis rats.Method: 1.According to literature ,we did acute toxicity tests on glycine-calcium,vitamine D3 and compound glycine-calcium.2.pharmacodynamics studies:(1)retinoic acid model: The 50 rats of osteoporosis induced by 70 mgkg-1 retinoic acid by gastro gavage was randomly divided into 5 groups (10 in each):model group , Caltrate D group , high , middle and low doses of Compound Glycine-calcium,and and another 10 as control group. High , middle and low doses of Compound Glycine-calcium were orally fed with Compound Glycine-calcium , at the dose of 1224,612 , 306 mg kg-1·d-1 : Caltrate D group with 1320 mgkg-1.d-1 Caltrate D; model and control groups with solvent .
