With the improvement of people,s life, the growing population aging and the influence of the ill-health life style, the outbreak rate of coronary angina pectoris has increased obviously. The covariance data of the epidemiology expresses that there are 17,000,000 people in the world died of cardiovascular disease in 2000, the percentage of the coronary was 15%. Scientists anticipate that the numeral will increase to 25,000,000 till 2020. The angina pectoris has been threatening the health of human-being seriously. The experts of World Health Organization say:" We should strengthen community crowd prevention and cure strongly, otherwise, mankind will beyond control the cardiovascular disease in the world." Therefore, we must give the people a large-scale general investigation about cardiovascular disease urgently in our country. At the same time, the medicine research to prevent and cure coronary angina pectoris is becoming more and more popular.Currently, the commonly used medicine to treat coronary angina pectoris is glonoin, however, it can induce many side-effects, such as headache, head bulge, increased heart beating easily, low blood pressure etc, it makes the patients suffer a lot. According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine theories and the modern science technique the scientists working on TCM develop a lot of Chinese herbal medicine which is more effective and less harmfulness. NGSDP is a new kind of product by the demand of disease condition, which is produced with the guidance of Chinese medicine theories and the modern system medicine technique. The new product which bases on Guanxin Suhe Pill removes Raidx Aristolochice and changes to drop pill.NGSDP contains Styrax,Broneolum Syntheticum,olibanum,Lignum Santali Albi. It can wake up a patient from unconsciousness, run the functional activities of vital energy, promote blood flow and relieve pain; it is often used to treat heartache by cold and qi stop. Because of its effection, it has been recorded many times by Chinese Medical Dictionary and often been used for coronary angina pectoris. Along with the technical development of medicine making and the toxicity study to Chinese herbal medicine, the research personnel discovers:⑴Guanxin Suhe Pill is a kind of sweet pill product but when it get down to the first-aid treatment of angina pectoris, this kind of medicine functioned slowly and should be taken at a large dose. However, the drop pill product has the advantage of functioning quickly, high living creature exploitation degree, can meet the demand of angina pectoris a lot;⑵Some patients who take Guanxin Suhe Pill over a long period of time can get kidney hurt, even crocking up, the reason is that Guanxin Suhe Pill contains AA-Ⅰin Raidx Aristolochice, which can cause kidney damage, abroad this type of kidney damage is called the aristolochic acid nephropathy (AAN). So Guanxin Suhe Pill is restricted in clinical application.Because of the disadvantage of Guanxin Suhe Pill and the condition of angina pectoris, we remove Raidx Aristolochice from Guanxin Suhe Pill and change it to drop pill, according to TCM foundation theories and the Chinese herbal medicine physics and chemistry characteristics. In order to replace Guanxin Suhe Pill in clinic, provide safe valid medicine for sufferer, we carry on a further research about pharmacodynamics and toxicology, based on its preparation and quality control in fore period. So that we can make an objective evaluation to Guanxin Suhe Pill's effection and security, and provide scientific data to the clinical research.1 The experimental research of NGSDP antagonizing the rats, AMI arose by ISOObjective: To observe the effect of NGSDP on ISO-induced AMI of rats and discuss the mechanism of action.Methods: To make AMI model of rats by injecting much ISO in belly, then record ECG of rats, determine the content of SOD,MDA and NO in serum and myocardium, the content of GOT in serum, observe the pathological change of myocardium tissue in light microscope. Results: NGSDP can antagonize the rats, AMI arose by ISO evidently, improve the J points and T waves of ECG(P<0.01); Reduce the GOT content in the serum (P<0.01); Raise the content of NO,SOD, reduce the content of MDA in the serum and myocardium(P<0.01 or P<0.05); Lighten the turgescence of myocardium cell; reduce the phlogistic cell in myocardium.Conclusion: NGSDP can prevent AMI arose by ISO effectively. It possesses the function of protecting the cardiac muscle cells.2 The toxicologic researches of NGSDPObjective: To observe the result of acute toxicity to mice and chronic toxicity to rats, which were given NGSDP by intragastric administration.Methods:⑴Acute toxicity experiment: All the mice were given medicine in maximum consistence and volume (0.3ml/10g) by intragastric administration, then kept on observing them for 7days, described the general conditions of the mice and measured the maximum medicine amount.⑵Chronic toxicity experiment: the rats were given medicine in the consistence of 0.235,0.705,2.115g(raw herbal) /kg one time a day, and kept on 15 days (about equal to the adults,10,30,90times), the volume was measured in 1.5ml/100g, then inspected and described the general conditions of the rats, checked the blood, observed the pathological change of mail organs and tissue in light microscope. Results:⑴Acute toxicity experiment: The maximum medicine amount of NGSDP to mice is 18.9g (raw herbal) /kg one day, which is about equal to the adults, 804.3 times, and all the mice were normal.⑵Chronic toxicity experiment: NGSDP has no obviously harmful function to the rats, weight, appetite, appearance, organ coefficient, blood (P > 0.05), and the pathology has no obviously abnormity.Conclusion: NGSDP is safe to take according to the Chinese Medical Dictionary.
