In this paper, reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatographic methods for the fingerprints of Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance and Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance Injection and their quantitative analysis methods as well as the capillary electrophoresis fingerprints of Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance Injection were investigated, which offered new methods on assessment of quality control for both Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance and Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance Injection .While we studied on the HPLC fingerprints, we established HPLC fingerprints of Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance and Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance Injection for 10 different sources and 10 batches which come from one manufacturer respectively, and 38 co-possessing peaks were selected as the fingerprint peaks of Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance and 27 co-possessing peaks were selected as the fingerprint peaks of Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance Injection . In both methods we chose adenosine peak as the reference peak. And on the basis of cosine we evaluated the similitary of HPLC fingerprint for both Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance and Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance Injection. Besides, the HPCE fingerprints were firstly be evaluated by the chromatographic fingerprint information index (I) and the relative information index (Ir) and furthermore we use the chromatographic fingerprint index (F) and the relative index (Fr) for the reference evaluation.In this paper, we not only firstly took CGA and CFA in both Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance and sonchifolia Hance Injection as its characteristic and active components but also performed quantitative determining and have obtained a satisfactory result. Besides, we also performed quantitative determining for its other active constituents such as uridine, adenosine .In this paper, we also developed HPCE fingerprint of Ixeris of sonchifolia Hance Injection and on the basis of selecting adenosine peak as reference peak, 24 co-possessing peaks were selected as the fingerprint peaks of Ixeris ofsonchifolia Hance Injection in the CEFP, meanwhile, we evaluated the chromatographic fingerprint.
