IntroductionRenal clear cell carcinoma ( RCCC) is the most common carcinoma in renal. The exact etiology is not clear, but molecular biology study indicated that mutation and over expression of oncogene and/or suppress oncogene, abnormal proliferation and suppression of apoptosis play an important role in the pathogen-esis of renal cell carcinoma ( RCC). Inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP) are important components for apoptosis suppression. Survivin is a new member of IAP family. There is no Survivin expression in differentiated tissues of normal a-dult( except for thymus, gonad) , but expression in many carcinoma of mankind. bcl-2 and p53 gene that have been deeply studied were closely related to apoptosis. We are attracted by the function of inhibitor of apoptosis in carcinoma progression . The study examined the expression of Survivin, bcl-2 and p53 in 53 cases of RCCC by using immunohistochemical techniques, which aimed to probe into their relationship and the roles they play in RCCC generation and development.Subjects and methodsThe study selected 53 cases of RCCC . There were 38 male and 15 female, with an average age of 62.1 years ( rang 48 to 75 yrs). The subjects were classified into four grades according to the Fuhrman pathological criteria, in which, 7 cases were G1, 18 cases were G2,16 cases were G3,12 cases were G4. According to Robson phases criteria ,15 cases were phase I ,17 casese were phase II , 16 cases were phase IE ,5 cases were phase IV 12 cases were normal renal tissues...
