Objective: Renal interstitial fibrosis is the common way of various cause induce injure of tubulointerstitial and develop to final renal failure , the major pathophsiological is the prolif- eration of renal interstitial fibroblasts and over accumulation of pericellular stroma (especially collagen I,collagen III and fibronectin). Studies show that many injure medium and factors inducing fibrosis participate in the process of it, but the mechanism doesn't be complete explain. At current, it's known that cell adhesion mechanism induced by adhesion molecule play an important role in the inflammatory cells infiltration and the process of tubulointerstitial's injure. Intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) and P-selectin are two important member of adhesion molecule. ICAM-1 is the major adhesion molecule of induce the inflammatory cells infiltrate to renal interstitial. In the areas of renal interstitial inflammatory affection, after renal tubular epithelia cell and fibroblasts are effected by inflam- matory factors, the expression of ICAM-1 on cell membrane rapidly increasing. ICAM-1 and it's ligand effect each other, attract white cell infiltrate to inflammatory areas, and adhere to renal tubular epithelial cell and fibroblasts, induce their damage...
