| Objectives: Psoriasis is a kind of chronic, inflammatory hyperplastic skin disease. Proliferation of keratinocyte (KC), infiltration of inflammatory cell and angiopoiesis are the three most important elements of its histological character. It affects patients' physical and mental health at a high incidence, for a long course and with frequent recurrence. The pathogenesis of psoriasis is still unknown. Previous researches indicated that apoptosis plays an important role in the development of psoriasis. Apoptosis is regulated by multiple apoptosis correlation factors, such as Fas, bcl-x, bcl-xl, Bax, p53, NO, c-myc, c-jun, c-fos etc. Survivin is a new member of the IAP-family (inhibitor of apoptosis, IAP), which was considered as the most important factor to inhibit apoptosis. It can inhibit apoptosis induced by a variety of factors and play an important role in the course of mitosis and cytokinesis of cell. It also takes part in angiogenesis. It expresses during fetal development but lacks expression in terminally differentiated adult tissues. PCNA is a kind of acid nuclear protein, which can relfect the proliferating activity of cell. Bax is the apoptosis induced gene forming Bax/Bax homodimers. Many studies confirmed survivin can resist the apoptosis is induced by Bax. VEGF is a... |
