Background and Purpose:Tea Polyphenols(TP)are polyphenolic compound complex extracted from crude camellia sinensis. Many studies demonstrated that TP have bioa- ctivity in scavenging oxygen free radicals, possesses anti-oxidative effects. TP are efficient in antibacteria, antivirus, anticancer and have protective effect on cerebralischemia reperfusion injury caused by IV administration. The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of TP on cardiovascular system, the hemodynamics of TP in anesthetized rat, providing valuable information for further research. Methods:All the rats used in the experiments were randomized into 4 groups: NS group; TP25mg/kg, TP50mg/kg and TP100mg/kg group. Heart in situ of anesthetized rat was used in the experiments. The procedure is as follows: Intubation from the right arteria carotis communis to the left ventricle was adopted to mensurate left peak-value systolic pressure (LVSP) and left ventricular end diastolic pressure (LVEDP), maximum ascending and descending of left ventricular pressure (±dp/dtmax); The right femoral arterial cannula was selected to determine blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR); Electromagnetism flowmeter on the left carotid was used to measure the blood flux which reprents the cardiac output(CO);Connectting the corresponding leads was to measure leadsⅡECG. All the hemodynamics parameters were observed based on different dose of TP by IV administration. Data were expressed as x±s , The statistical significance of difference between before and after administration was tested by paired t-test using SPSS software version 10.0.Results:...
