| At present, a lot of hospitals have implemented HIS and have accumulated a great deal of medical information in distributed hospitals. However, this useful information is utilized in local hospital just like information's isolated island. They are less sharing. The most important problem that should be resolved is sharing information between HIS.It is very difficult to solve sharing of medical information. The main reason is diversity of system's interface standard, such as system's platform and data's style. But, now emergence XML has given us first light of morning. XML is an Architecture Description Language Meta-Language and has the character of extension, flexibility, self-describing, platform-independence and generalization, so it can be used to describe medical information. Then we can get medical documents. How to manage and organize these medical documents effectively and reasonably to transfer accurate data by means of some proper ways in right time to right persons who will make correct decisions based on these information, to assure that persons who do not have the right privilege can not read or write these data for avoiding tremendous loss at the same time, which is the main purpose of the thesis.With the guidance of Product Data Management, the enterprise informationization construction has achieved a great deal of successful experience. Since the process of the treatment in hospital is similar to the manufacturing process of the enterprise, the advanced theory and the successful experience can completely be used to construct the medical information model system to share the medical information.Based on the supportive technology discussed above, frame of the Medical Documents Management System (HDMS) is proposed based on medical information model, which is based on B/S structure and has three ties.
