Objective:To investigate the relationship between Neuregulin(NRG-l) gene SNPrs2954041 polymorphism and schizophrenia in Chinese Han population of Kunming District, and the possible impact on cognition of the schizophrenic patients.Method:A clinical evalution of 141 schizophrenic patients was accomplished by the PANSS .The patient and the normal were administerd the following tests:Experience, association, understanding and digital Span of (Wechsler Memory Scale, WNMS), WCST , Neuron Soft Sign, and P300.The Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphisms technique was used to detect the genotypes of NRG-1 gene SNPrs2954041 in 141 patients with schizophrenia and 84 healthy controls.Association study was used among NRG-1 genotypes ,cognition function and P300 between the patient and the normal.Result:1.Regarding to NRGlSNPrs2954041 gene polymorphisms and allele frequencies ,statistically significant difference was found between schizophrenia patients and control subjects. There was significant difference between male/female schizophrenic patients and male/female control group'genotypes and allele frequencies.2. Comparision of cognitive function beteeen schizophrenic patients and control subjects:â‘ There were significanct dffeence in understanding memory of WNMS between G/G individuals and T/T individuals ,and G/G individuals had lower points. â‘¡There were significanct difference in false number, continuing false number and sorting number of WCST among every genotypes. G/G individuals had the more false number and continuing false number: G/G individuals had the fewer sorting number. 3.Regarding to P300,there were significant difference between...
