Radix Scutellariae Oral Liquid was made of Scutellariae and other herbal exactions. They are produced by many factories in our country currently, and the curative effect is different. In order to control its quality, it was required that all the injections made from herbal medicines and their raw materials should be standardized by chromatographic fingerprint. So, the chromatographic fingerprints of Yinhuang Oral Liquid,Shuang-Huang-Lian Oral Liquid together with its raw herbals were established by high performance liquid chromatography in this work,.First, a method based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to establish the fingerprint of Radix Scutellariae was described. The contents of Baicalin in Radix Scutellariae extraction with various kinds of extraction methods were determined to choose appropriate extraction method. The effects of mobile and the gradient elution acidity, UV detection wavelength were investigated. The data of fingerprints of 10 batches of Radix Scutellariae were processed with two different mathematic methods, and the results of both methods were consistent with the facts..Then, the method based on high performance capillary electrophoresis (HPCE) to establish the fingerprint of Radix Scutellariae was also described. The effects of concentration and acidity of running buffer, UV detection wavelength and applied voltage were investigated. This proposed method demonstrated good stability and reproducibility with RSD less than 5% for both the relative retention time and the relative areas. Finally, the data of fingerprints of 10 batches of Radix Scutellariae were processed with two different mathematic methods of similitude coefficient and the SAS system, and the results of both methods were consistent with the method of HPLC.Finally, the chromatographic fingerprint of Yinhuang Oral Liquid, Shuang-Huang-Lian Oral Liquid together with its material original materials Radix Scutellariae, Flos lonicera and Forsythia were established by high performance liquid chromatography. At the same time, baicalin and chlorogenic acid in the Oral Liquid were also quantitatively determined. The data of fingerprints of Oral Liquid were processed with two different mathematic methods. This proposed method demonstrated good stability Oral Liquid. Compared the peaks in chromatogram of Oral Liquid with those of crude herbs, most of them could be matched well.
