Objective To investigate the correlation of certain features of 16 multi-slice CT single-level dynamic enhancement with tumor microvascular density (MVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in renal cell carcinoma (RCC).Methods For each of the 23 pathologically proved RCC cases, single-level dynamic enhancement scans were performed by Testblous sequence of 16 multi-slice CT. Thus Time-density curve (T-DC) was obtained. Dynamic indexes then were calculated including slope, ΔHU, peak time (PT), tissue blood ratio (TBR). According to the slope of (T-DC), enhancement was divided into three types: A, B, and C. The tissue obtained from operation was stained immunohistochemically using Elivision two-step method and subsequently subject to count of MVD and VEGF. Afterwards, the correlation analysis was done between MVD, VEGF, and the parameters of dynamic enhancement CT. Results (1) Enhancement was divided into three types: A, B, and C according to the slop of (T-DC). (2) There are significant difference between slopes of various enhancement curve and among A HU,S,TBR.(P<0.05) (3) There was positive correlation between MVD, slopes, ΔHU, TBR, as well as T-DC types. (r=0.652,0.581,0.625) (4) Significant correlation was shown between the amount of VEGF, MVD, and indexes of dynamic CT. (P<0.05) (5) According to Robson,...
