Objective To investigate the clinical applications of four different oral contrast agents in multislice spiral CT imaging technique of gastric carcinoma .Methods 104 patients underwent the multislice spiral CT scan with four different oral contrast agents . All case were testified by fiberoptic gastroscopy and pathology . These patients were randomly divided into 4 groups according to different oral contrast agents administered : No .1 water contrast goup ( n=39 ) , No . 2 air contrast group ( n=27 ) , No .3 fat emulsion contrast group ( n=39 ) , No . 4 positive contrast group ( n=16 ) . Triphasic incremental spiral CT was perfomed in all case .The 3D CT images were reconstructed in air contrast group and positive contrast group . 103 patients with advanced gastric carcinoma evaluated the gross appearance . Among those patiends , 40 patiends were treated by opreation and the results of the gross appearance were compared with histopathologic findings . And to compare with and analyze the image quality of triphase multislice spiral CT in using four different oral contrast agents in four gorps .Respectively to conpare image quality in air ,fat emulsion and positive contrast agents to water .Results Multislice spiral CT in using four different oral contrast agents in four gorps correctly detected all tumours . There was no statistical significant difference for sensitivitiesof the gross appearance in advanced gastric carcinoma in 4 groups (χ~2=9.13 ,p>0.05 ) . The accuracy of categorizing the gross appearance in 4 gorps was 76.8%,71.4% , 80.0% and 33.3%, respectively . Water ,air and fat emulsion were better than positive contrast group . But there was no statistical significant difference (χ~2=2.72 ,p>0.05 ) . The result to evaluate the...
