Objective TO make clear the roles which Stat3 and VEGF played in theoccurrence, development of gastric cancer and probable molecular mechanism of it, we intended to detect the expression of them and analyzed the relationship between them .We hope to supply a theoretical evidence for diagnosis , tumor theraoy and judgment of prognosis。Material and Methods We applied SP immunohistochemical method to detect Stat3 and VEGF protein expressions and analyzed their relationship with each other in gastric cancer containing normal gastric tissue specimen, cancer specimen and metastasis specimen .All date were processed by PEMSversion 3.1 analysis software。Results1. Stat3 and VEGF protenis were respectively detcted in 64.61% and 76.92% of all the 65gastric cancer tissues, which were higher than those of contol group, and the differences were significant (P<0.05)。2. The expressions of Stat3 in different histological types of gastric cancers were various。 Those were: undifferentiated carcinoma(90.00%) >mucinous carcinoma (68.96%) >poor differentiation adenocarcinoma(54.84%)> adenocarcinoma(42.85%); and the differences were not significant(P>0.05)。3. The expressions of stat3 in different histological grades and clinical...
