| Objective To investigate the prognostic factors of vaginitis, and to provide reasonable suggestions and measures for improving the prognosis of vaginitis.Methods Questionnaire survey, physical examination, individual depth interview were used to collect quantitative and qualitative data. 1 340 clinical cases were investigated through questionnaire from August in 2004 to September in 2005, and the objects were random classified into two groups, One group was cured with ozone liquid, the other with drugs. By judgmental sampling, 10 patients and 7 doctors accepted interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed by SPSS 13.0,SAS9.0, LISREL8.70, qualitative data were analyzed through analytic comparison and the illustrative method.Results1. 97.5%of the patients were younger than 50 years old; In education, 67.5% of them were junior high school, senior high school or technical secondary school, 2.7% of them are illiteracy; Most of them are workers, or have no fixed occupation, and , earned a little money; 74.4% of the patients were finance their medical expense by themselves, only 20.4% of them attended medical care insurance.2. Among 1 340 patients, 51.6% of them were candidal vaginitis, 43.0% were bacterial vaginosis, 5.4% were trichomonal vaginitis. Curative ratio was 70.1%,effective ratio was 6.9%, improvement ratio was 6.8%, inefficiency was 16.2%; curative ratio of the group cured with ozone liquid was 69.2%, inefficiency was 18.0%, the other group's curative ratio was 70.9 %, inefficiency was 14.5%.3. The times of health education they received, wiping method after relieve nature, sanitary behaviors during sexual intercourse, washing underwear with other clothing, material of underwear, state of illness, family income, fee-for-medical expense, treatment, abortion times, suffering from pelvic inflammatory disease and type of vaginitis are prognostic factors of vaginitis.
