The Study On Chemical Constituents From The Fruit Of Evodia- Rutaecarpa

Evodia Rutaecarpa is one species of the Evodia genus of Rutaceae family . It grows mainly in the south of China, and has the effects of analgesic, antiemetic, astringent ,hypotensive agent and so on.By means of silica and sephadex LH20 etc. chromatography isolation methods ,twelve compounds were isolated from Evodia Rutaecarpa . They were elucidated on the basis of chemical-physical qualities and spectral methods as ( I ) evodiamine , (II )rutaecarpine, (III)dehydroevodiamine, (IV)hydroxyevodiamine, (V )limonin, (VI)phydroxy-benzoic acid ethyl ester, (VII)berberine, (VIII)oleanolic acid, (IX) physcion, ( X )β-sitosterol, (XI) daucosterol, (XII) chlorogenic acid.Among of them , compounds VI,VII and VIII were isolated from this genus for the first time and the compound XII was isolated from this plant for the first time.
