Objective:To explore neural function rehabilitation and dynamic change of seruminterleukin-6 with needling cranial sutures combined with drugs for treatmentof acute intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods: According to the clinical diagnostic criterion of the cerebrovasculardisease in the forth national academic discussion of cerebravascular diseaseinChengdu, 46 patients, ranging from 44 to 75 years in age, were enrolled, male29 and female 17, 43 patients were completed the study. All patients were randomlydivided into a medication group(A group) of 22 cases and a needling cranialsutures plus medication group(B group) of 21 cases, the patients of A group wastaken treatment measures, such as conrolling brain edema, reducing blood pressureand nourishing nerve, etc. In B group, besides the same treatment measures as Agroup, needling cranial sutures was performed from the fourth day of followingonset, once daily, 10 times constituting one course. In addition, 20 healthysubjects between age 44 and 75 were served as a control group(C group) of normalconcentration of serum IL-6. The observation time was from the third to fourteenthdays, the scores of neural function defect, dynamic change of serum IL-6 andtheir correlation were compared.Results:(1)In A group, the scores of neural function defect didn't improvedsignificantly between the third and seventh day(P>0.05), with significant difference between the seventh(or third) and fourteenth day respcetively(P<0.05,P<0.01). (2)There were significant difference in the scores of neural functiondefect between the third, seventh and fourteenth day in B grouprespectively(P<0.01). (3) In bothiand B group, with no significant differencein the scores of neural function defect of the third or seventh day(P>0.05),there was a significant difference in the scores of neural functiondefect of the fourteenth day (P<0.05). (4)The contents of Serum IL-6 in thepatients of acute intracerebral hemorrhage in both A and B group was obviouslyhigher than that of the normal control group(P<0.01),the levels of IL-6 graduallydescended and showed different change in acute stage, the contents of IL-6 inB group decreased faster than that in A group. (5)There were very significantdifference in the contents of serum IL-6 between the third, seventh and fourteenthday in A or B group respectively(P<0.01). (6)The contents of IL-6 of thethird, seventh or fourteenth day in A or B group decreased significantly asseparately compared with the normal control group(P<0.01, P<0.05). (7)The scoresof neural function defect was highly correlated with the concentration of serumIL-6 in acte stage before or after treatment respectively with a significantdifference(P>0.075, P<0.01).Conclusions(1)The contents of serum IL-6 in the patients of acute intracerebralhemorrhage is significantly higher than that of normal serum IL-6, it issuggested that serum IL-6 is in the process of dynamic change. (2)IL-6 can reflectthe degree of intracerebral hemorrhage, namely, the higher the concentration ofIL-6, the worse neural function defect. (3) Both medication and cranial suturesplus medication for treatment of acute intracerebral hemorrahge can improveneural function, but clinical therapeutic effect of the latter is significantlysupperior to that of the former. (4)needling cranial sutures can acceleratelypromote the descent of serum concentration of IL-6 and improve neural functionin the patients of the acute stage of intracerebral hemorrhage.
