Study On Distribution Of Biotype One Of Ureaplasma Urealyticum In Genital Duct Of 162 Pregnant Women With Unfavorable Pregnancy Outcome

Objective: To investigate the infection or colonization of serotypesof biotype one of Ureaplasma urealyticum in genital duct of 162 pregnantwomen with unfavorable pregnancy outcome and the relationships to thatsuch as spontaneous abortion, fetal death, premature rupture ofmembranes(PROM), premature delivery.Methods: 251 pregnant women in department of Obstetrics andGynecology from April 2006 to March 2007 were colonized byUreaplasma urealyticum as the sole pathogenic microorganism, andwithout Trichomonal vaginitis, Candidal vaginitis, Bacterial vaginosisand Chlamydia trachomatis. Cervical swabs were taken from 89 clients ofnormal pregnancy and 162 clients of clinical services with unfavorablepregnancy outcome(24 spontaneous abortion, 15 fetal death, 75premature rupture of membranes(PROM), 48 premature delivery) werecultured for 24 hours. Positive cultures were further genotypes bypolymerase chain reaction (PCR).Results: (1)In 162 pregnant women with unfavorable pregnancyoutcome, the total positive rates of biotype one was 74.69 %(121/162).The positive rate in clients of spontaneous abortion, fetal death,premature rupture of membranes(PROM), premature delivery were 54.17%(13/24), 73.33%(11/15), 80.00%(60/75), 77.08%(37/48). There were significant different of positive rates in different crowds of pregnantwomen(P＜0.05). (2)There were significant different in the distributionpattern of serotypes of biotype one in the different cases. The serotype 1,serotype 14, mixed serotype were more frequently present in pregnantwomen with unfavorable pregnancy outcome and the serotype 3 andserotype 6 was more frequently present in the other ones.Conclusion: (1) The positive rate of biotype one of Uu in pregnantwomen with unfavorable pregnancy outcome is higher than that in normal.The serotype 1, serotype 14, mixed serotype were more frequentlypresent in pregnant women with unfavorable pregnancy outcome and theserotype 3 and serotype 6 was more frequently present in the other ones.(2)There may be correlation between biotype one of Uu and unfavorablepregnancy outcome, moreover, the serotype 1, serotype 14, mixedserotype of Uu may be the pathogenic microorganisms.
