Research On Expression Of EIF4E,COX-2 In Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Tissue And Their Clinic Significance | | Posted on:2008-06-04 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y Q Gong | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360215486019 | Subject:Otolaryngology | | Abstract/Summary: | | | Object: expression of eIF4E,COX-2 in nasopharyngeal carcinomatissue were tested to find the relationship between them and thebionomics of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Method: eIF4E,COX-2 expression level were detected in 97 poorlydifferentiated NPC tissue and 20 normal tissue by immunohistochemicalmethod. Results: the positive rate of eIF4E and COX-2 were 89.7%and85.6%in NPC group, which were significantly higher than that in thenormal group((P<0.05). The eIF4E positive rate had no significantcorrelation with T stage, cervical glands metastasis, and clinical stage ofNPC (P>0.05); while the COX-2 positive rate had distinct correlationwith the T stage, cervical glands metastasis, and clinical stage of NPC (P<0.05); There was no significant correlation between eIF4E and COX-2expression levels in NPC tissue. Conclusion: The high expression of eIF4E in NPC tissue suggests itmay be a potential tumor genetic mark of NPC. The correlation betweenexpression levels of COX-2 and the T stage, cervical glands metastasis, and clinical stage of NPC make it possible to predict the biological behavior and metastasis potential of NPC. No distinct correlation betweeneIF4Eand COX-2 expression level in NPC tissue was found. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | eIF4E, COX-2, immunohistochemical method, nasopharyngeal carcinoma | | Related items |
