This thesis is composed of four chapters. The study on the chemical constituents of the fruits of C. migao was reported in the chapter 1. The second chapter presented the study on the chemical constituents of the leaves of C. migao. Study on the chemical compounds of the leaves of C. migao in the chapter 3..In the last chapter, we not only summarized C. migao, a well-known traditional Chinese medicine, is widely used for the prevention and treatment of various diseases in China but also summarize the studies on the chemical constituents and pharmacological activity.Chapter 1 Study on the essential oil constituents of the fruits of C. migaoThe results of essential oil constituents extracted by SFE-CO2 and SD and then analyzed by GC-MS were seen in table 1 and 2. Totally 79 components were identified, among them 49 were identified from the essential oil extracted by SD and 58 were from SFE-CO2. 28 components were the same. The relative contents were determinated with a relative correction factor area normatization method. 55.45% of all the chromatographie peaks were identified in related to the essential oil extracted by SD and 51.95% peaks were identified in related to SFE-CO2. The hydronium charts of C. migao by SFE-CO2 (Chart 1) and by SD (Chart 2) were given. Essential oil was extracted from this plant by supercritical CO2 fluid extraction (SFE) and steam distillation (SD). The yield of essential oil obtained by SFE and SD was 15.874% and 3.632%, respectively. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry identified fifty-eight compounds in the essential oil, and the major compositions: eucalyptol,α-terpineol, borneol, copaene and camphor. In comparison, forty nine compounds were identified in the essential oil extracted by supercritical carbon dioxide, and the major components were copaene, n-decanoic acid, eucalyptol, spathulenol,β-panasinsene. Chapter 2 Study on the essential oil constituents of the leaves of C. migaoTo better develop and expand drug C. migao Miao medicine sources, the experimental the leaves of C. migao leaves for a study of the chemical composition The results of essential oil constituents extracted by SFE-CO2 and SD from the leaves of C.migao and then analyzed by GC-MS were seen in table 3 and 4. Totally 115 components were identified, among them 84 were identified from the essential oil extracted by SD and 69 were from SFE-CO2. 38 components were the same. The hydronium charts of C. migao by SFE-CO2 (Chart 3) and by SD (Chart 4) were given. Essential oil was extracted from this plant by supercritical CO2 fluid extraction (SFE) and steam distillation (SD). The yield of essential oil obtained by SD and SFE was 1.53% and 2.44%, respectively. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry identified eight-four compounds in the essential oil, and the major compositions: Bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-one,1,7,7-trimethyl-(17.68%), Borneol (5.91%),Eucalyptol(4.76%),Caryophyllene oxide (3.62%),Agarospirol (2.94%) In comparison, sixty-nine compounds were identified in the essential oil extracted by supercritical carbon dioxide, and the major components were Eucalyptol (16.02%),(+)-4-Carene(9.41%),Caryophyllene oxide (3.83%),α-Cadinol (3.79%),Ledol (3.34%),Chapter 3 Study on the chemical compounds of the leaves of C.migaoThe experiment has been extracted from the leaves C. migao four compounds, one of fatty acid, another three compounds for the flavone compounds. Isolated for the first time from the leaves of C. migao.Chapter 4 SummaryLast part of the thesis has been reported (1989 -2007), the chemical and pharmacological research done a study summary of C. migao. In recent two decades the studies on the chemical constituents of C. migao, not only can provide strong experimental evidence for seeking effective component, but also enrich the contents improve the international status of traditional Chinese medicine.
