Clinical Research On Da Dingfeng Zhu

Objectives:Parkinson's disease(PD) is a kind of degenerative of the central nervous system in themiddle-age and old age.With the development of the social, its high incidence andmorbidity harmed the human health seriously. The treatmeat of PD is very difficult.Up tothe present,there is not a therapy that could cure PD totally.L-dopa has still been a "the goldstandard" of the therapy of PD in that it has advantages of quick effect and easing thesymptom obvious etc. This therapy could improve the PD's symptom,however, it wouldhave no command over the PD progress. Moreover, with the extension of the medicine timeand the enlargement of dosage,L-dopa's effect would decline gradually and its poisonousside-effects would increase by degrees.The objectives of this research is to preliminarilyevaluate the clinical efficacy of Da Dingfeng Zhu (experimental prescription mytutor-Professor zhu) on dyskinesia of PD.This research may provide basis for theTraditional Chinese Medical (TCM) recognition of dyskinesia of PD(Syndrome of kidneyand liver yin asthenia),for summarizing and generalizing TCM therapy on dyskinesia ofPD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia),and for exploitation of new drugs.Methods:This research is prospective randomized controlled trial.All the sixty qualifiedpatients come from dyskinesia of PD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia) specialout-patient or hospital ward. These patients were grouped randomly into two groups:thirtyin Group A, thirty in Group B.Therapy of Group A was :Decoction of Da DingfengZhu,PO,one dose QD,and taking Madopa;therapy of Group B was only taking Madopaorally, the dose was as same as the formerly dosage.Observing cycle of the two groups wereboth one month.SPSS13.0 software was used to handle datum.T-test was used to handlequantitative datum and rank sum test was used to handle categorical datum. The test ranreferring to the test requirement rigorously. All cases of EG and CG has not been lost.Results: 1,When the trail was over, the availability percentage of EG is 76.67％, while that ofCG is 23.33％.The difference is significant (P＜0.05). These indicate that the curativeeffect of treatment of EG is superior to that of CG.2,Da Dingfeng Zhu is an good effectiveprescription for dyskinesia of PD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia), especially atthe ordinary activity,movement function,dyskinesia duration and dyskinesia of allintegral.3,dyskinesia of PD's(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia) pathogenesis isdeficiency of kidney and liver yin asthenia and Liver-wind stirs up internally. We take a good healing effect from the treatment of nourish kidnry and Liver. 4,The treatment of thedyskinesia of PD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia) didn't discover obviousuntoward effect. 5,Inadequacy of this research:The sample size is small, which influencesthe deduction of conclusion; dyskinesia of PD is a chronic disease of progressivity,therefore, time limited exists in a certain degree for the efficacy assessment.
