Study On Development A Traditional Chinese Medicine Questionnaire Of Quality Of Life On Parkinson Disease

Background:Nowadays, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapies not only have good effects on treated Parkinson disease(PD), but also emerges its advantages in the quality of life(QOL) of PD patients .While if we use those scales to evaluate the effects of TCM, it is inappropriate. It is difficult to assess the treatment superiorty of Traditional Chinese Medicine, especially in the field of QOL because the difference between the backgrounds of economy, culture and society of the two medical science systems, if we use index or scale of the western medicine to evaluate the PD patients' clinical outcome treated with TCM. To make these advantages approved by Western Medication, Special PD evaluation system of curative effects to TCM is urgently needed. Purpose:Develop a QOL questionnaire on Parkinson disease with TCM features and evaluate curative effects of TCM on Parkinson disease completely and impersonally. To verify the possibility of making TCM special scale for PD QOL based on the method of modern QOL scale development and TCM pattern (zhenghou), and provide methodological reference of developing and screening the TCM pattern index as clinical outcome scale for other diseases objectively and systemically.
