Objective: To determine the concentration of connective tissuegrowth factor and Transforming growth factor batel in subretinal fluid(SRF) and to observe its relationship with proliferative vitreoretinopathy(PVR).Methods: The high sensitive sandwich enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to measure the level of CTGFand TGFβ1 in SRF in 33 cases with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Results: CTGF and TGF-β1 in the subretinal fluid in patients withrhegmatogenous retinal detachment was detected; CTGF and TGF-β1content with the increase in the severity of PVR. Concentrations of CTGFand TGF-β1 were related in SRF. The level of CTGF was significantlyrelated to TGF-β1 in SRF.Conclutions: CTGF and TGF-β1 in the development of PVR, whichhas played a certain role. CTGF may be increasing the content of afollow-up increase in the level of TGF-β1 in response.
